With the rising popularity of the homesteading lifestyle, becoming more self-sufficient is easier than ever. Join Scottie Allen of Troup Farm & Yard as he walks you through the ins and outs of starting your own productive chicken flock. Information will be given on building a coop, types of chickens, and best practices for egg-cellent egg production. You can also make contacts with others in the industry at their Trade Day event. This workshop will be held at Troup Farm & Yard at 1013 Hogansville Road in LaGrange. $45 per person.

Workshop fees include supplies and refreshments. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Members may register for workshops upon receipt of the Portico newsletter.
