A Garden to Dye For

Dyeing textiles using natural materials is a practice that can be traced back thousands of years. Join Athens artist and biochemist Beatrice Brown as she demonstrates the process of eco printing using cuttings from the historic Ferrell Garden, explains the benefits of using natural dyes instead of synthetic, and offers tips to start your own dye garden! Each participant will create their own eco printed scarf to take home with them. All supplies and a boxed lunch will be provided. Space is limited to 10 participants. $65 per person.

Workshop fees include supplies and refreshments. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Annual member registration is now open. Nonmember registration begins January 25.
