If nature is calling you to get outside, we hope you will come and enjoy the beauty of the historic boxwood gardens, greenhouse and other garden features at Hills & Dales Estate.

Below we have answered the most frequently asked questions about visiting the estate:

When are you open?

Beginning Thursday, May 21 we will be open Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

What can I see at the estate?

You can explore the exhibits and gift shop at the visitor center and view the orientation film. Afterward you can take the walking path to the garden and take a self-guided tour of the boxwood garden and estate greenhouse. Please note the tram is not operating except for those with limited mobility.     

Is the Callaway home open for tours? 

To maintain current social distancing requirements, the Callaway home remains closed.

What safety precautions have you implemented?

We are requiring social distancing of all guests and all employees interacting with guests wear face masks.  We are also following all CDC guidelines including signage, enhanced cleaning and procedures to minimize contact between people.

Other recommendations?

We encourage guests over 65 or with underlying conditions to continue following the governor’s shelter in place order. We also encourage our guests to consider wearing masks in enclosed spaces. 

How many people can I bring?

We are limiting groups to 6 people in accordance with recommendations from public health experts. We will limit the number of guests once our pre-determined capacity is reached. 

How much does it cost?

Adult garden admission is $10, Students ages 8 – college $5, Members & children 7 & under are free.
