We work hard to make the estate accessible for guests with special needs.
Wheelchairs are free to visitors and available for those who need assistance touring the estate. Please inquire at the visitor center front desk to arrange for assistance. Manual wheelchairs are permitted on the estate tram and first floor of the home, but motorized scooters are not allowed.
The first floor of the home is fully accessible for wheelchairs, however, touring the upper floors requires the ability to climb stairs. For visitors unable to navigate the second and third floors on the home, photographic tours of the house are available.
The historic terrace gardens are only partially accessible for wheelchairs as they feature pea gravel pathways and stone steps.
The orientation film is closed-captioned for the enjoyment of hearing impaired visitors. An abbreviated house tour script is also available for Spanish and Korean speaking visitors.
