We went here because of TripAdvisor reviews. It is a fabulous house to visit. No roped off areas and everything was left as is when the last owner departed. There are 3 floors and quite a few steps but worth the walk. You have a...More

The amazing gardens on this estate were designed in the 19840s by a wealthy slave owner named Sarah Ferrell. Unfortunately, in describing the history of the property, the current owners prefer to white-washed the fact that its huge gardens were planted and maintained by enslaved...More

My husband and I visited the gardens of Hills & Dales Estate on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 13. He had done all the research and I don't think he even knew how wonderful it would be. Truly the website doesn't do it justice. The gardens...More

After noting Hills and Dales Estate on a list of public gardens in the area, we opted to check it out on a sunny Saturday. This place seems to do less advertising than other similar venues, as we had never heard of it before. Once...More

A stunning Georgian-Italian mansion, filled with history & elegance. The gardens & grounds are enough to make most Master Gardeners green with envy! The docent, of our tour (Clairinelle) was charming, knowledgeable, and truly enjoyed sharing the Callaway family history with her visitors. If you...More

Took the grandson to the Christmas event. Outstanding! If you love history and nature this is the place. The Callaways were true visionaries and humanitarians as well as lovers of the land.

This is one very well maintained estate and with excellent guides to develop the history of the building and of the city and its heritage. An usual experience near Atlanta, but far enough away to be removed from the clatter of the cityl
